    3500 birds can produce 3500 eggs per day ... in 7 days, they can produce 24,500 eggs ... 1 tray of eggs consists of 30 eggs ... 500 trays will hold 15,000 eggs ... it is quite possible to harvest from that lot of chicken 500 trays of eggs per week

    • @africaagriculturalnetwork6920
      @africaagriculturalnetwork6920  10 месяцев назад

      In a battery cage system, regular removal of chicken droppings is essential for bird hygiene and to prevent waste buildup that could lead to unpleasant odors in the coop. To manage ammonia, ensure proper ventilation, use suitable litter, and control nitrogen-rich waste levels. Adequate ventilation is vital for dissipating ammonia and other odor-causing gases.

      @@ez_Ezekiel But this means when u add production costs, profit is reduced coz whether the bird lays or not, it still consumes the same feed. So feed cost is fixed regardless.
      65% is too low, they need to be at 85-95%. They really need to check why so much isn't laying, that's like close to half not laying at 65%.

      Hello Fahad, we are so glad that you are considering starting a poultry farm. About how much money you need to start, it depends on what other resources you have available such as space among other necessities and also the breed you would want to go for and number of birds you want to start with.

    "Msingi" is the only Swahili word you had to pronounce and you butchered it! (no pun intended)
    The "ng" in that word is pronounced like that in the word "doppelganger" and not like the"ng" in "binge"

      @@africaagriculturalnetwork6920 I don't know how the word is pronounced in other local languages.
      But at 0:42 he mentions that the farm is named after the Swahili version of the word, so it should be pronounced accordingly.

    1. The "disinfectant" is foolish.
    2. The "vaccination" is foolish.
    3. Chickens produce the healthiest eggs with exercise, and you are losing out on how productive they are for your soil!
    4. This might as well be a Monsanto Africa advertisement.
    This is just as sad as the American food system. Animals are meant to be outside, grazing and working the soil. Your chickens will be least likely to have illness and mortality with sufficient exercise, and no chemicals and vaccines. Grain-fed animals are also very hazardous for human health, especially with grains that are covered in -ides and other poisons and toxic compounds.
